Hatch Creaks

My 2008 Matrix has a problem with the hatch. Over the last few degrees of opening, the left hinge makes very loud creaking noises. It is very well lubricated. Nothing visible seems to be binding. I will get the dealer to check it before the warranty runs out, likely a few months from now. Meanwhile, has anyone experienced this problem? Any solutions?

Your warranty is running out in a few months on a 2008? Shouldn't you still have years left?

Yeah, but 08 production was June to December 2007. That means that at the MOST, the vehicle would be 9 months old. That's 140 miles per day 7 days a week.

Not impossible, but it's a LOT of driving, lol.
