Canada 07 TRD speakers size?

Thanks for the quick replies everyone. I'm new to the forum and screwed up one of my posts today. Hope I didn't annoy anyone. According to the diagram posted by mistamatrix the 07 TRD has 6.5 component in the front and 5.5 coaxial in the rear.

Wow! Learn something new everyday...

Crutchfield say "the factory speaker doesn't fit any aftermarket size directly. 6 1/2" is the largest that will fit the factory location". That is with the 4 & 6 speaker systems.

The JBL does indeed have 6.75" speakers in the front with 4" in the rear. According to Crutchfield.

Stock speaker sizes are 6.5" front 5.25 rear, however, 6.5" will fit front and rear.
You probably could get 6.75" in the front locations.
I don't think the trd edition has stock component speakers, but easy enough to add the tweeters in the door sails. The stock speakers are.......well you'd have to see them for yourself
I had infinity 6.5" front and rear in my '06 xr, then swapped out the front to cdt audio components and having the tweeter in the sail made a huge improvement in the music fill.

Watch the speaker depth though. If the speaker is too deep, it will interfere with the window movement.

Thanks

Thanks to everyone for the quick response. According to mistamatrix and his diagram, the car does have component in the front. Speaker size is 6.5 in the front and 5.5 in the rear. However I am unable to get a visual on the component tweeters. Is this normal or should there be some visual clue as to their existence? Thanks again

I think a 'vent' is the telltale sign that your car is equipped w/ stock tweeters.

Thanks a lot. The vent is what I was looking for, but my car doesn't have one. It's amazing how evgerytime you visit "experts" in their shop they have no idea what they are talking about. If I had a buck for every time I corrected these guys I'd be retired.
Thanks again

We're all happy to help. This is what this community is all about.

Keep us posted and let us know how your audio progresses. As long as I've been around (6 yrs!) and I still have stock audio!
