keyless remote programming needed - PLEASE HELP ME

Gentlemen,
I recently purchased a 2007 matrix which I love. The used car salesman gave me 2 different remotes that weren't programmed, stating programming is easy with the use of the web. My problem is this, I can get the car to cycle the locks and enter the programming mode but it won't recognize either remote.

One remote has the light on it, the other doesn't. Both have the panic button on the back. The FCC ids are as follows:
Remote 1(with light on it): BAB237131-056
Remote 2 (w/o light): HYQ12BBX

Is either remote capable of working? Should I visit a local Toyota dealer and pay them to do it? I thought it would be easy but it appears not to be...

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can give me!!!!

I just tried entering "keyless remote programming" in the search feature on this site and there appears to be a lot of posts about this. Maybe try out some of the suggestions before you pay a Toyota dealer. Just an idea - I haven't tried any - my remote works.

Wait! Don't go to the stealership just yet!

While the 2 remotes you have may be from Toyota, it most likely isn't Matrix specific which is probably the reason why it isn't exactly working.

I've got 2 different remotes. 1 original (w/ lock, unlock, hatch + panic on back) and another Toyota I purchased online (w/ lock, unlock, hatch only. No panic.)

While they're different, what they both have in common is the FCC and CAN #'s:
FCC GQ43VT14T
CAN 1470 102 849

The remote I purchased online I programmed myself successfully after a few failed attempts.

Have a look at this site to see the different Toyota remotes. You'll see that there's similar remotes but have different code #'s.

If anything, there's tons on eBay for cheap w/ the codes I mentioned above.

I've got an 03 but it would be nice for 07 owners to chime in and confirm if there remotes have the same codes I listed above just to confirm.

I've got the same numbers on the back of my 2008 remote so I would assume that 2007 was the same.
