320,000 miles

Good morning everyone,

Latest update 320,000 miles now on my 2005 matrix. I replaced a couple sensors last month & had an oil leak, but other than that all is still going well. still running so well that I'm planning on a cross country road trip in her again this summer. Have to keep track of my miles on the trip odometer as the odometer maxed out at 299,999.

Hey did your chain cover leaking oil or your chain tension tensioner was leaking oil?
What kind of engine oil you use? How much oil you add /1000km?

The highest record I saw was from a 93 Corolla 4 years ago with 489000km (303000 mi)

I guess you are using GPS to keep track your millage

It is awesome to hear a 1zz-fe can last so long

nice accomplishment !!! congrats....for a 2005 trix how far do you travel everyday ??? i have a trix 2003 XRS and only have about 55036 miles on it....but sooner or later i'll get there...

Good God!!! I didnt think it was possible to get that many miles in 3 yrs?? Either you have too much time on your hands or your job makes you drive too much???

I'm not sure about the oil leak other than it happened on top of the motor. (not much help I know, my receipt is around here somewhere) As far as oil I use a synthetic blend. I rarely have to add any oil considering it gets changed about every 2 weeks, but if I go a couple thousand miles past when I should get my oil changed I have been known to add 1 to 2 quarts (if I'm way over due). I do drive for work & yes I drive way to much. you would think I would get sick of driving, however I still enjoy it enough to drive across country for vacation once a year
