Lost Behind Back Seat

I think that a favorite screwdriver has fallen behind the back seat into what looks like a floor pan. I can see sealant down there and sheet metal. This space opens up to about 3" when a back seat is halfway between up and down. How can I access this area to retrieve the screwdriver. I have looked with a flashlight and mirror but I cannot see to the end of the pan. I can get my hand in part way only. Should I remove a back seat and if so, how? Thanks.

A couple of easy bolts and the seat is out.

You could always accelerate really quickly up an incline, come to a stop then do the halfway between up and down thing and you should be able to see it!
