Toyota Matrix Subwoofer Installation Notes

Hey Guys,

(This is a guide/diy for reference purposes only. I will not be held liable for any damage that you cause and neither will the people who helped me with this install. Use the information at your own risk.)

I have attached some documents that will be particularly helpful to anyone who is planning on hooking up an aftermarket subwoofer and amp to their stock radio/stereo headunit. I would like to point out that my car is a 2007 Matrix XR and I think that these notes should work across the entire generation from 2003 to 2008. I would like to thank my friend My Le for testing and figuring out the proper connections. I would also like to thank my friend Sheebu Thomas for synthesizing all the information onto these few pages and drawing some of the diagrams.

credit also goes to the two websites below for their useful info and diagrams

Access to wirings

Hi, thank you! This is very helpful. However, is there any place i can tap the wiring without removing the stereo? Like under the hood and seats?
