Question Maintenance advice?

Hi,

I have a friend who has a 2003 manual transmission MATRIX XR. He's at 130xxx miles now, and I don't think he's ever had any maintenance done on it since purchase in the 50xxx mile range

Is there any lists of what parts should be changed out for the 60k, 120k, or 90k mile marks?

and I already did a search for "90K maintenance," "120K maintenance," and "60K maintenance," with no luck on turning up any info.

any help would be appreciated, so thanks in advance, and thanks anyways if not,
Ted

Hopefully the oil has been changed a few times since the 50k mile range.

Look into getting some fresh tranny gear fluid, clean the MAF sensor, intake, throttle body, and PCV filter.

Check the belt - if it's OEM it'll be a serpentine belt that is prone to squealing in moist weather conditions - might want to replace with a Goodyear Gatorback. Inspect the belt tensioner and water pump.

Check the tires, make sure the steering wheel doesn't vibrate too much @ any speed on a smooth driving area.

Check to see how dirty the air filter is and also the A/C cabin filter - probably filthy and you wouldn't want to breathe in air from that.
