Dog liner for 2003 matrix

Just picked up a 2003 matrix.. I have two large dogs and like to keep the seats down so they have room.. I need to find something to put down so they do not slip and I could take out and clean. Carpet usually holds too much hair...
anyone know of anything that's also not too expensive..
Thanks

i know there is a rubber mat designed specifically to fit into the back end of the matrix, but it only covers the rear cargo area. as far as i know there is nothing that covers the back seats when down.

Lightbulb dog liner

Hi!
I have an '04 and a Rhodesian Ridgeback. She rides in the back seat in a seat cover/sling that is perfect for keeping the seat clean and dry. We live in Tacoma, WA so she is often wet and muddy. This seat cover keeps dirt, sand and water off the upholstery. My husband has one in the Tacoma, as well. We put a cushion or blanket over the cover for a more cushy ride. OUr friend has a F150 with leather and her 2 Ridgebacks haven't damaged it at all. Here is the link:

I have been watching and waiting for a full rear cover. It is just too slippery on the hard plastic seat backs. I have been tempted to make a mat with indoor/outdoor carpet that is rubber backed.

I hope this will work for you.

Teri

JC Whitney liner

What is different about the moon/tune pkg? I have the moon roof but I don't think the back is any different than other models. I could really use the full liner for all the stuff I haul around.

i got my matrix used, and i didnt look into all the details on it. in looking at the 2 floormats i listed above, i would suggest getting the more expensive of the 2. the cheap one, after looking more carefully, says that you cut it to get the custom fit. personally, if i were to get a rear mat, be it carpet or rubber, i would want it to fit in without having to modify it myself. i am pretty sure though that the expensive one by Weather Tech will fit into the back end of your matrix with no problem. i think the moon/tunes thing would be a better stereo with some better speakers, but wouldnt be speakers that stick out more in the back end.

Yup! Rubber pond liner!

Was going to use it myself, but eventually decided on the carpet route.

Here's what you do. Call various garden centers in your area. Ask what sizes they carry. Most stock large rolls of huge widths and it is sold by the running foot. A place near me has also the small 5.5' wide stuff used for waterfalls and streams. This is the perfect length to go from the hatch to the front seats. Buy 4.5' of it (or 4' if not going from door to door) and trim to fit. Since it is rubber it is easy to clean and non-slip for dogs.

If you want you can slit where the rear seats meet, and that way you can raise one or both of the seats as needed.

We used pond liner in our van for this task, but I have also seen some more custom products on the Drs. Foster and Smith catalog. Remember to get doggy safety harnesses too!!
