USA Intake Manifolds???

Hey guys, i read an article about some new intake manifold made for the 1.8L Nissan versa that on the dyno gave it 17WHP. Thats nuts. So im wondering if there's any company out that makes them for the Matrix. I tried searching but no luck, any ideas?

unfortunately, there are no aftermarket intake manifolds for the Matrix.

We only have exhaust manifolds aka header for available.

DC Sports, JP, and I think there is another new one out there.

Maybe the 2nd generation (2009 and up) will have the aftermarket support that the 1st generation didn't have.

Well thats too bad, if someone can gt 17whp out of the versa im sure they can do it with ours. I thought about the header but with the loss in torque for hp i changed my mind. What are some good mods for torque?

simplest mods:

a SRI

a definite boost in torque = turbo or S/C

A header will also add some torque - in fact it will make the engine more "efficient" in expelling the used gasses from the engine thereby improving mileage.

But most people love the improved HP thereby negating the mileage increase.

The 1.8 liter 1zz-fe and 2zz-ge motors are not "torque" producing engines unless you add some "boost" aka forced induction.

you could always do some hardcore work on the motor for more torque...ie stroke it out a little more, but as stated above, best way of getting more torque is turbo or supercharge.
