03 Matrix ODBII codes P0500 and P0450

Ok friends. Both came on within a week of each other. Anyone seen this?? Car has 130K on it. Maintenance has been college student like. Regular oil changes......still the original spark plugs.....Yes I know...............

P0450: EVAP control system pressure sensor malfunction.

The vapor pressure sensor or its circuit that is used on the fuel tank emissions system has a malfunction. Bad sensor or problem with the circuit.

P0500: Vehicle speed sensor or circuit malfunction.

The vehicle speed sensor on the trans, its circuit or the combination meter has a malfunction. Bad sensor, problem with its circuit or problem with combination meter.

ODB issues

Yep I know what they are. Just thought others out there would have had it happen to them in this car and might have some insights as to what typically fails or is an issue. I'll check vacuum lines tomorrow as well as speed sensor wires. The speedo and odo. work fine.

Should I erase and see if they come back?? I hate the denial approach but it's so much simpler than getting your hands dirty!!!
Other ideas?????
