Canada Matrix XR and 15" Rims

I have an 05 Matrix XR with B Package. I am looking to buy some winter tires and I am wondering if 15'' rims will fit and clear the front disk brakes. At the present time it has the stock 17 ''.

Thanks.

P.S. any recommendation on winter tires, and how these cars do in the winter as this coming winter will be my first in this car.

many people have said that the AWD version are great for them in the winter. as for the 15s, those should fit just fine if you are running the original brake rotors. if it is a big brake kit, then you might be more concerned, but chances are that it is the stock equipment.

i had 15" corolla steelies on my XRS and they cleared the brakes perfectly

youll want 195-65-15 tires

any snow tires are going to be 10x better than any all season

Thanks for the replies. This winter is going to be my first with a FWD car. I have always driven AWD, but with cost of gas and a daily long commute to work, I opted for a FWD, When I did my research, I found out the matrix XR FWD will do just fine for me, so I am hoping with a good set of snow/winter tires (15") I should do just fine. Any ideas on good tires?

i have always driven FWD, and my last car (90 camry) was a champ in the snow and seemed to pull itself out of anything, but would also play hard and slip around when i wanted it to. my matrix has been good for the little bit for the most part so far, but i thought my camry was better.
