Angry Rotten Egg Smell..

Ok i was driving home the other night and smelled something nasty. When i got home i found out it was me.. does this mean my cats going bad? I havent smelt it since that day. Help me out guys.. If it is it could be the answer to my less than desired gas mileage.

From what I understand, these occurences do happen every once in a while, like a build up that breaks away.

Ok so my cat should be fine then? I read that sometimes you get that smell when there's alot of unburnt fuel, is that correct?

assuming this is the case, then you should run one of those fuel cleaners through your car about every time you do an oil change. this should help to break up the crap in there a bit better without breaking the bank. i suggest using the larger size (designed to treat 20 gallons of fuel). pour it in the tank as you are starting to get low on gas, drive for another day or 2, then fill up.

i have always used chevron. just look for them on sale and pick up a couple. just make sure it is fuel SYSTEM cleaner, not just injector cleaner. that helps to pick out a little more crap.
