Bottom Grille

I've been trying to look in past threads but I can't find the answer. I have an '04 XR and I'm trying to remove the bottom grille, for painting, is there anyway this can be done without removing the whole front lip? What is the easiest way to remove the grille? Any info or links to previous threads would help, thanks.

If I were in your shoes, I'd end up removing the whole front bumper. But that's me and the fact that I've taken off my front bumper a handful of times already so it's become a piece of cake.

Bumper comes off in less than 5 minutes. Like Mista said, that would be your best bet. Insructions on MO.
