2003 Matrix - Washer Pump replacement

Hi,

I can't find a Chilton or Haynes repair manual for the Matrix and the repair manual I downloaded (same as what is linked at the top of this forum) does not include how to change one.

Any tips or detailed instructions would be great. I can't figure out how to pull the old one off.

I see there's a trico one online for about $15 less (after shipping) than what Toyota sells it for but the wires on it look different. The trico seems to have instructions but you never know what you're gonna get :-) .

See Section 16: Cooling of the repair manual. It's there.

Oh man. What was I reading?!

Is this the pump in the windshield washer reservoir you're talking about?

Yeah. Its the pump right on the side of it controlling the front washer flow. The pump basically split open down the side and the top popped off. I know they sell the pumps but I'm not sure how to get it off the side. I really haven't done much other than yank it but I didn't see any attachments or anyhthing. If you look at it, you'd swear it just pops into the side of the reservoir.

Anyway, yep, that's the one :-) .
