2008 Matrix - Locking Issue - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

Hey All,

I have a 2008 Toyota Matrix XR, and I want it to make a sound when I lock it using the keyfob. Either the horn or something should make a beep or chime type sound. I can't seem to get mine to do that...does anyone have any suggestions on getting this feature to work?

Push once for silent lock, twice for horn beep.

I wish that were the case. That is what I am looking to make happen, and I know that there must be some sort of programming code to get there. With my current set up, when I hit the lock button multiple times, just the corner lights flash and no sound is made other than the actuating of the locks.

No it doesn't. I have an aftermarket Autostart alarm/remote starter but I thought a few years back when I had the OEM fob that it woked like that. Maybe I'm thinking of another car. Sorry to have mislead you.

ps....can't get one by mista!
