Spoiler question

I drive a 04 Matrix XR up in MI. We have been getting hit with a bunch of snow on the Lakeshore in Western MI and the entire back end gets covered with snow. This unfortunately includes the window. Even with the rear window defroster on and the wiper going it gets very hard to see out the window. My question is will adding the OEM style Spoiler fix this problem? Does the spoiler direct the wind “down” the back end of the car to help keep the build up off the car?
Thanks for the help.
Dan

It does help a little bit but not 100%. I have one like this one that current on Ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=170295531612

Some member has the ATS spoiler also. Buy spoiler from dealer is very expensive.

There seems to be no getting around the vortex that occurs in most if not all hatchbacks.
