Get 07 Matrix Xr close to 200hp

I have a 2007 Matrix Xr automatic. Is it possible to get v6 power out of this car?

It seems a cai and exhausts are not serious upgrades or worth it for a car. I feel like little things like a better air filter and synthetic oil and just maintaining the car are gonna give just as much performance.

I/H/E will get you 10HP so that is like 140 hp at the crank so with an auto that is like 115 at the wheels. A turbo will be nice for more HP, but is is very costly.

Really, intake, exhaust and header will get you 10-15 HP for about $1K. A supercharger will get you about 30 HP for about $3K. A turbo will cost even more but will give you a bit more HP and a lot more torque. No other real options.

forgot to factor in drivetrain loss, so you are closer to the 175 hp to the wheels with those mods, unless you have a dyno to prove that are "close" to 200 hp.

to break into the 200 hp realm, 2zz owners go for S/C or better still turbo.

how come i missed this LOL!

I call this the BS of the Day! you wont get passed 180whp with I/E let alone almost 200whp... that dyno most of been really messed up dude!

in a matrix xrs, typicall I/E gains are in the very low 170's

ported header, decat, full 2.5'' mandrel exhaust, a very good intake should put you in the low 180's

^ all that plus apex pfc, a tune, PPE header and intake and you will be in the very low 190's... barely...

but 200whp? you will need pistons, P&P and some hopes and dreams...

NUFF SAID!!!
