Write off? what do you think...

47,500 kms 2006 XR

"Karoline" t-boned a chevy pickup then got spanked on her driver's side pretty bad too.

damaged is both front fenders, hood, bumper, rear driverside door and rear quarter panel. brunt of impact was on the front driver's side corner, so I expect some frame shiftage.

i think this car is worth about 14,500$ cDN; what do you think guys?

Does it look like a writeoff?!

thanks
Adam

Buckwheat,

Glad to see 'Karoline' wasn't hurt.

Can't say the same for the Trix though.

In excellent condition it would have been worth that here, but even if it can be straightened out it won't be worth more than $6k tops.

Once people find out it's been in an accident (and it has to be reported and specified as such ) these vehicles take a nosedive.

There could well be a lot of shifted and twisted/cracked or bent components no readily visible.

Who was at fault in the 'T'-bone?

What has your insurance said?

Ouch! I got t-boned last Feb in my 05, no structural damage, but the other guy wrecked my front fender, hubcap, both doors, and rear 1/4 panel.

That was $6400 in repairs for his insurance :o

And I had the EXACT same fogs in mine until I installed factory fogs and switch in the car.

they said the impact on the corner caused major structural damage...

ou could see the panels didn't line up on the passenger rear door window line and the rear panel section of the body. shifted 1/8 inch

written off - total loss...

time to switch to the camry 07 forum; going to pick up my used car saturday.

Front rails are over quite a bit. Depending on whether they are kinked or can simply be pulled, it's hard to call. My gut says "goodbye" but if the inner damage isn't too bad, it may fix.

Glad nobody was hurt!

Did your Insurance increase on Renewal? I was told that due to "No-Fault" Legislation both Ins. Co.'s Share the Cost. Hence you pay more even though you were not AT FAULT?!?

Last year's insurance (renewed 1 month after the accident) did not increase.

I haven't gotten this year's renewal yet. Buggers better not raise it, or I'll go looking elsewhere. Again. lol.
