Put XRS suspension & ABS into base model?

Hi guys,

I'm interested in getting an 03 or 04 Matrix, base model non-XRS package. however, I'd really like to get the independent suspension and four-wheel disc/ABS.

Is a transplant of the suspension / braking into a base model possible? Is it crazy? Who in the automotive Matrix 'modding' world might I want to talk with?

Thanks!

all front wheel drive matrix's from 03-08 have a torsen beam rear suspension....only the awd's had an independent rear suspension because of the rear differential. its way too much work and money to do for something you wont really feel even if youre racing on a road course....

as for the rear disc brakes, same thing - - a lot of time and money for little gains on the street. but you COULD pick up a rear end from an xrs from a wrecker or something....
