Rear tire worn on the inside

Hi,

I had my girl friends Matrix in for a wheel alignment. She had a small encounter with a metal pole on the front and the right rear tire was balding on the inside

Reading of the setting before alignment
Front Toe, left, -13/32", spec says -2/32 to 2/32
Front Toe, right, 18/32" spec says -2/32 to 2/32
Rear Toe, left -2/32", spec says 0 to 4/32"
Rear Toe, right -5/32", spec says 0 to 4/32"
After the alignment
Front Toe, left, -2/32"
Front Toe, right, 1/32"
Rear Toe, left -1/32"
Rear Toe, right -5/32"

I did feel a difference when driving back home, the steering wheel was much more tight and straight so the front at least got better.
When I asked the manager about why the right rear toe angle had not been changed, he said that it is almost impossible to change those angles and it doesn't really matter so much. I guess the difference is just a setup problem at their station.
And if this tire is balding, the next one will too... I don't know how it is done on a Matrix, but both toe angles on the rear are out of spec, maybe not a lot, but still out of spec. I simply can't believe that it can't be corrected? Any advice?

The rear can't be easily adjusted because of the rear torsion beam. It can be corrected, though, with shims.

Here's a good read on the issue: Rear wheel alignment in corolla 06

Geez, the front wheels were WAY off, weren't they?!
