Please help! Error 3 on radio

Hello,
So my radio is the 6 disk chager one and it wont play any CDs but plays radio fine. When I try to eject a disk it doesnt do anything, same with loading a disk. Then it says "Error 3"
How do I fix it?

That means that a CD is stuck in one of the internal trays. Do not try and load another CD, as it may get stuck too. Only way to fix this is to pull the headunit out and pull the stuck CD out.

Could be any number of things that caused this - CD player was loaded with a bent/damaged CD, heat warped the CD inside the headunit, CD has a label that peeled off inside, or the loading/unloading mechanism is toast or jammed up with dirt.

I have that happen from time to time with my 6-disc changer in my 2003 Matrix XRS - sort of a pain, but usually not too bad to get at the disc. Make sure you pull the power before you work on the headunit - don't do it with the battery still attached or you might have bigger problems on your hand.

Ok well I pulled the head unit out and took off the top cover, took a look but cant really see if anything is stuck. but how do I take out all of the disks? it seems like I cant just push them out.
When I put the head unit back in and tried to eject it again it said that there are no disks in it, but I know there are 4 still in there.

You have to put power on the radio to cycle the loading/unloading mechanism - this is done on a bench with a separate power supply tapping the power plugs on the back of the headunit. Have to be careful, how far you disassemble the headunit - when you power it up. If you don't plan on powering it up - you can take it all the way down to an internal cage, but I don't believe you'll have enough room to pull the discs out.

There is also a manual eject button - should be able to see it from the front slot. If I remember correly, should be close to side with the eject button. Pushing it with a paperclip or similar will cycle the trays regardless if it thinks there is a CD in there or not. The headunit will require power for this to happen. If the CD is really stuck, ths will not work.
