removing VHT Night Shades off car bumper

Hey guys,

My friend who recently tried to tint his tail lights with VHT Nightshades got the spray on his actual car because he didn't cover one piece up. He owns a white XR so it's dead obvious. We tried to get off with goof off, paint thinner and wax. None of these worked. They just made it slightly lighter. Can someone PLEASE help. This retard is considering actually getting his bumper changed but i know there MUST be a way to fix this. Any suggestions would help!

Thanks guys

p.s. it's not even that big of a mess. Just a spot the size of half a bottle cap maybe? lol but the damn car is white...

Have to use a polishing compound to get that out - polish has some fine abrasives in it that will rub that paint off. Toyota white finishes are single stage - i.e., no clearcoat - just polish it out, then clean up with a sealer or wax to protect the paint. Would be a lot easier to work into the paint if you had a machine, but for a small area - hand polishing should work.

If you are really brave - you can wet sand the area with a very fine grit of sandpaper (1000 grit or higher) - then follow with a polish and sealant. Just watch that you don't sand through the finish.
