radio antenna

Hey guys i finally got my radio up and running (yeah!!!) but now a while back i backed out of our grague door too fast. (there was enough room for the car to get out of the opening) but with out thinking i backed out and broke our antenna, so I was wonder if your could tell me what I need to do to fix it or replace my antenna. Also when i replaced my fuse i noticed only about half of my lcd screen lights up when the radio is on and as you go towards the right side it slowly fades to black so how could i fix this as well. My car is a 2004 toyota matrix.

Thanks so much

is the antenna base still intact? if so, just replace the 'stem' portion of it by unscrewing it.

hello again,
i checked out my car this morning and here is the scoop. it appears i broke off just the antenna its sel and not the base. the base is still their, and when i look into the little whole their is only a blue wire with copper coming out of the tip barley coming out the top. (if i recall correctly their were also green and a red wire coming to the antenna before it can off.) so what do you think i should do now?

Thanks so much,
ak47basketball

it looks like the top portion of the base was damaged. real tough to tell from your pics, but at the top of the base should be (female) screw thread that the antenna (male) screws into. if it has been ripped off, you may need to replace the base.
