Winter rims and tires

Hi ..I have a M Theory . tire size 215/50/17 . I need winter tires and rims .The cost of 17'' product is high . Can I use 16'' product ? if so will
it effect any systems ie. tire pressure gauge or ABS braking . Txs

I went down to 205/55/16.

You can go down to 205/55-16 as the last person told you. That's another stock size. Although there are probably other sizes that work as well. Presumably your air pressure gauge will not work as there sensors would stay in your 17 inch rims. As for your ABS there is no affect on that system. as the sensor detects when the wheels lock up only and they are not on your rims but in the hub itself. If you have winter tires your wheels are less likely to lock up over over all season or summer tires.

I bought this package from TireRack.com. The wheels are 16x7 with a +35mm offset. They were on clearance for $79! I put on a set of 205/55R16 Bridgestone Blizzack WS-60's, awesome winter tires!
