OEM ones should be pretty close to the Tein H.Tech springs. S.Tech are a little more aggressive, drop wise, compared to the H. Tech.
As for ride quality - varies with which strut you pair it with. KYB AGX adjustable struts may have been a bad match for the springs with the 200SX. Sometimes it takes a few weeks before everything settles in and behaves "normally".
Tein S.Techs are well liked by many, most couple it with a Tokico or KYB GR-2 strut. Have to be a bit careful, Tein S.Techs can drop the ride 2" or more, when it is finally settled. Most struts are designed for 1.5-1.75" drop max, before some damage may occur.
Some have been riding around without issues for years, others blow out struts within a few months of installation. Struts specifically made for 2" drops or more, tend to have much more aggressive valving, which can work against a relatively soft spring like the Tein S.Tech.
The KYB AGX coupled with a H&R Race or Eibach Sportline spring (~2" drop for both, are a pretty decent combination). The KYB-GR2 or Tokico Blues paired with a H&R Sport or Eibach Pro-Kit (~1 - 1.5" drop) works pretty well together. On my Corolla, I'm running a TRD Spring (rebadged Eibach Pro-Kit spring) and KYB-GR2s. Rides as smoothly as stock on smoother roads, a very noticeable improvement in brake dive and acceleration squat, and getter load capacity with the appropriate damping (not bouncy or beats up your kidneys when driving on rougher surfaces).
