Hi All:

I saw on Yahoo that the Matrix was to be discontinued by Toyota. Does anyone have any further information regarding this???

It's true. Since Pontiac has been phased out and the plant where the Matrix and Vibe were assembled has been closed, I guess Toyota decided to end production. It could also be that they don't want anything to remind them of their partnership with GM.

Sad day, I was just starting to enjoy mine (used) and thinking of getting a new one. Maybe Subaru takes the hat on this one. Or maybe a Fit. Or whatever gives me 8 feet of cargo space length with the seats completely flat.

True. It looked like a nice car. I think Toyota may offer a replacement based on the Corolla sedan in the future, though with their finances the way they are, it may be a while

Good news for you, Pete, The Matrix is going to stick around (don't know for how long,), but again it HAS NOT been discontinued
