Which air intake fits?

Hello all,

I just recently bought a 2005 Toyota Matrix (base model). I am thinking about adding a K&N short air filter on my car. I don't know which one to buy though.

Does anyone know which one fits the Base model or if the one for the XR and XRS are the same for the Base model?

Thanks in advance.

Ryan

the Base and XR engines both have the 1zz engine and so the SRI for the XR fits the base, while the 2zz is on the XRS and has a larger intake size and won't fit.

Though if I'm wrong on this, I'm sure someone can correct me.

Well Yota.. Guess my hours and hours of reading is paying off... on MO and here!!

Now if I can get my brain to wrap around the fact I have a little bowl of rice n not a hunk of American Muscle anymore, and I'll be really good to go!
I'll get there eventually - though the MOPE that parks next to me in the garage everyday makes it rough.
