12V to ignition means that the lead is only energized when you turn the car ON - i.e., it is asking you to hook it to a switched 12V source.
There are a couple of switched 12V sources you could tap off of - though be best to tap it off of something that is not 100% critical - good example would be the 12V cigarette outlet. I can't remember off the top of my head, but I'm pretty sure that both the Corolla and Matrix do not have power running through the cigarette outlet unless the ignition is switched ON. There are two power points on both my car - one is live all the time, one is switched.
Another possibility is tapping off the fuse block itself - radio fuse could be piggybacked, as that comes one when the ignition is ON - though you could introduce some electrical noise if the Parrot unit is not electrically "clean".
Easier way is to wire it off a live 12V source that you manually switch - lots of 12V power sources available to tap off of - just wire to a separate switch. You can get premade switches that plug into the cigarette lighter plug, just wire the 12V wire to the plug and you are good to go.
