Good deal?

Hello everyone, I am looking at buying a 07 Matrix. I am not sure of the model but it has keyless entry, AC, it has a manual transmission. It has alloy rims and comes with 4 all season tires and a set of snow tires. It has 52000 km (approx 35000 miles?) This guy is selling it because he needs a work truck. The dealer is offering him $8500 on a trade and he is selling it for the same price because he knows how much markup they will have on it. This sounds like a good deal does it not?

Sounds pretty good esp with the snow tires, can you have a mechanic look over it first and have a list of maintenance (oil change etc)? What is the brand of snow tires? $8100 USD is great, it may or may not be out of the bumper to bumper warranty, depending on the date of manufacture. Sounds like it is atleast an XR model because it has alloy wheels. Do you know if it is 4WD? If it turns out to be the XRS, which I doubt, it requires premium gas, the rest of the line takes regular.

Its definitely not AWD. I am not sure about the brand of tires, but they are already mounted on steel rims. It definitely will be inspected before I purchase it. Looking locally here in eastern Canada that car sold at a dealer would be listed for at least $11000 or higher.
