Question Question regarding 07 Matrix rear beam price and compatibility

My 2007 base Toyota Matrix is currently at the collision shop. My mechanic told me the rear beam needs to be replaced. He quoted me $700 for the rear beam.

$700 is a little steep for me right now. I've checked online and found cheaper prices but for the Pontiac vibe.

My question is, is the rear beam on a similar year Toyota Corolla or Pontiac Vibe compatible with our Matrix? I know they all share the same platform.
Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

The rear beam for the maxrix is the same as the corolla and vibe, part number 4210102120. $700 is pretty cheap, I assume that is used though and does that include labor? Make sure he performs an alignment when done with the replacement and you want to see the print out of the alignment specs when done.

I thought the rear beam on a corolla would be different since the matrix is somewhat heavier and taller. The $700 doesn't include labor and it's used.

I just checked the part numbers online and they are identical, but that parts list is user inputted. If you are still concerned, look for a vibe beam.

I just replaced the beam onmine with one from a Vibe. With the help of a buddy we did it in a few hrs. And for much less the $700......... BTW, yes it was a used beam from a local reputable auto recycler (ME!) You dont need brand new for this job!!
