I thought the Matrix did come with All wheel drive as a standard! Why are they saying the 4 wheel drive isn't in production yet!
You should try and get some kind of bargain or make up for their delay by the way, I would!

The matix awd is in production my uncle bought one an xr. Dealers in montreal are goin crazy Toyota only send them 25 or so matrix per dealer for the intire year...
From the launch of the model until now most of the dealers are out of stock and custumers have to be patient.

I wanted to buy one but when the dealer said that i would get it in august i said no fu***n way im staying whit my 89 SR5!

Here in montreal its about the same thing for the rolla s now the orders will take about 2 to 3 months

The worst thing is that they are made here in Canada and they ship almost every single car out to the US way to go toyota

Just like the tdr parts if you look for the celica 2000 and up everything is discontiniued...And the guys working in a dearlership its like they dont want you to buy those parts?!

4WD is an option for the 125hp motor...the one with the least power, but most wheels driven. Everything else has the 130hp or 180hp motor.

My dad works at DVNT...he says its almost a 1/2 year wait time...but peops are still pouring in trying to snatch them up. I would wait...I say it's well worth it.

You are not getting screwed by your dealer...they want to make sure you have your car when they said they would have it...they probably got a call from Toyota Canada saying that their order is gonna be delayed 9 weeks, and they called you and told you the exact same information. You see, you can still back out, the more time you have to think about backing out (minus deposit), the more chance that you will, so they want to give you your car, and fast. They don't make money unless a car rolls out the lot.

Thanx for you input... I've decided to just sit and wait it out... no point in me wasting my time running around T.O trying to find a dealer that's gonna deliver my car when my dad won't even bother with it....

It's always the case with first year cars. I was at Richmond Hill TOyota and after testdriving the XRS the sales was like u wanna drive it away this week? Buy our demo cuz you not going to find another XRS for the next 3 months. They even got the sales manager to come talk to me and explaining how long the wait would be.

I think the same would apply for the Civic Si-R... Don't forget you are buying a 2003 car in 2002... you still get like half a model year "extra" when you take delivery
