cv axle help

so i busted my cv axle. it pretty much fell into two pieces while i was taking it apart. so now the inner boot part is stuck in the trans and i cant seem to get it out. any ideas?

The inner portion still has a collar on it - so a couple of smacks with a prypar/large screwdriver will do it. Since the other side fell off, you don't have the benefit of added leverage to help put out it out. Just becareful of the dust cover and oil seal on the transaxle side.
