Do you think your Matrix is a sports car, a station wagon, and SUV or a cross (like the Volvo XC, BMW X5).

After test driving the Matrix XR, the size fits with a RAV4, just that it doesn't feel like a "truck" like how the RAV4 does.

i think it's an ugly pontiac vibe...and i think the vibe is an ugly version of the matrix...actualy i think that to sum up this post in a single word i would have to use UGLY....

but hey that's just me and alot of other people opinions..the focus and the mp5 sold pretty well and i hated them too...

the fact of the matter is i don;t car what other people say...i just think that they are half baked in every area...

the crisper of cars

I agree with Martin.

the Matrix is a weird concept part SUV/Minivan/Wagon/Sporty car.... I think it is trying to emcompass too many elements into one car.

I drove the Matrix, sure it handles but it's too tall... kinda weird driving it

I think it's fugly stock, but has mad potential.

Rick, defend your ride man! Then again, you don't need to. I know you're gonna use that "potential" I was talking about

What really maters to me is that I love the car. But I have noticed alot of thumbs ups, nice comments, honks, waves, kids and adults staring at it, ricers too! People ask me about it all the time.
An older friend of mine, she recently sold her Turbo Esprit and she could drive it very well. She got busted for going over 150 a few months ago. She has driven many supercars over the years and drove my Matrix the other day, now she is going to buy an XRS and get 19's on it. She is 67 years old too  Absolutely loved the car.

I really dont see the point in going on a vehicle specific forum and bashing someones ride.. If someone puts their hard earned money into something they enjoy THAT IS AWESOME! I personally have never been in a vehicle like this.. Everytime I am driving I get thumbs up, or long lasting stares, some chic at a stop motioned me to roll down my window to tell me that my car RULES.. I have had senior citizebs come up to me just to talk about my car.. I was mildly apprehensive with this style of car, but it grew and gre and grew on me.. Its an impressive vehicle. It is more functionable then a sedan. Handles better then most cars, and it hauls ass... What more can you ask for? So please, lay off the haterade and chill out!

Zig

martingouda, want some cheese with that whine? Oh, you already have it  We just do not care what you think, if we love our Matrixes, cool for us, tell use what you drive maybe we will bust on it or then again, most likely not because we are usually to busy to care.

All in good fun here, no harm intended, too busy having fun, getting all the attention, etc.

Rick

matrix isnt bad in my opinion although it sits high and the forester wagon feel dont appeal to my kind of driving ... but the power yummm its just too trippy to think about all the other stuff i didnt like... i mean it feels comfortable ( like a toyota normally would be) i think the goal of this car is not to be a race car ( just like us camry guys) but the main goal is to get some looks and nice stares from ppl of all ages... appealing to wat each age group likes and thereby marketing the car as hip for the oldschool and trippy enough for the newschool... that's wat i think...all in all ... its a toyota!! wat more can be said hehehehee

I got to say the Matrix is a bomb-ride. I like the way it sits high cause sometimes being high feels good. The majority of people I spoke to love the matrix. I was pumping gas the other day and an old man drove up next to me with his Chevy truck and said "That's one heck of a ride.." Peole just loves this car. It looks nice and especially the ladies love it (Old and Young...)

I love the Matrix. I saw an ad on the internet about a year ago and was hooked ever since. The AWD works awesome and everyone either stares, comments, or both. I couldnt have chosen a better car for my kids and my wife to ride in, especially since we get snow and tons of rain here. For those of us who want it all and don't want to compromise, the Matrix is it.
