Matrix Air flow Knob Stuck

Hello everybody any help I can get would be greatly appreciated. Two days ago my light bulb in the climate control inside my 04 Matrix XR went out. "I was like damn I just replaced you!!!" I did what other forums told me to do is bang on it a couple of times, it didn't come on. The next day I took out the climate control cover to check out why the bulb is out. It turns out that it falled out. I found it and popped it back in and this time screwed it in tighter. The first time I just finger tightened it.
Here's the problem don't recall when exactly it happened. Probably when I was banging. But the knob that controls the air flow will not turn to the face blast position. It will go to feet and that, feet, feet and defrost and defrost but will not turn all the way left.
I took out the glove compartment so I can see the white plastic gears turn when you turn the knobs. But it appears stuck trying to go back to the face blast. Is this a hard fix, anybody experienced this before?
