Please help!?!??!

This may be a dumb question but I got a mess on my hands.

Do I have to disengage any airbags to remove the passenger seat in my wife's 04 matrix?

Seems as though the ac has leaked inside and water has gone under the carpet into the back seat footwell. The carpet and padding are soaked and before I investigate further by removing the seat I want to be sure an air bag doesn't give me a black eye.

Appreciate the help! If this were my '97 4runner it would be no issue, I'd rip the interior out and rhino line it. The wife doesn't like that plan 4 her ride tho, lol!

Just remove the negative battery terminal for a couple of minutes to bleed down the power to the airbags. Then just exercise caution when removing the seat - disconnect the electrical connections on the seat bottom, don't mess with the connections (ie, run a ohmmeter over them).
