Looking for new tires

Hi guys. I have a 2005 Matrix with about 126000k on it. My tires are currently in need of replacing. I've been out of work for a little while but just started a new job. Needless to say money's a little tight at the moment and new tires are an expense I'd rather not have to pay right now, especially since I just dropped $500 on repairs. I have been quoted various prices but just got one for Hercules Road Tour 655. It's a lot cheaper than anything else I've heard. The guy said that they are a popular tire at his shop. Is that because of the price or are they okay. I've had trouble finding any kind of reviews on the net. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks.

Canada Try Cdn Tire

Try Canadian Tire when they go on sale 4 for the price of three. Since you are in Guelph, try the Some R New Some R Used tire seller on Silvercreek. They're right beside Buns Masters.

I've never even heard of "Hercules Road Tour" tires so yea, they're probably super cheap and super low quality. I've had excellent experiences with Kumho, Yokohama, and Sumitomo tires. Sumitomos have the added benefit of being infused with a hydrophilic compound so they have excellent wet and snow traction, and some of them can be run at higher PSIs all the way up to 50ish.

*edit* check out tirerack.com to see what tires are available for your vehicle, read some thorough reviews, and see some detailed comparisons.
