Code p0171

My wifes 2007 Matrix engine light came on the other day, I scanned it and the ECU gave me a code of P0171, too lean. The car is running fine with no stumbling or anything else. Start up is normal even in cold weather.
I read something about the ECU needing to be flashed. We had the ECU replaced in August under the recall, is it possible that the ECU needs to be flashed

This time of year manifold leaks start to show due to colder temps.
Replace the intake manifold gasket. A cheap and easy repair.
