Civic rims fit a Matrix

Hi - does anyone know if Civic 205/55/R 16 rims (5 lug) will fit on a 04 Matrix XS (AWD)?

Assuming you're taking about a later Civic then yes, they share the same 5x114.3mm bolt pattern. The hub-bore on the Civic is 2mm bigger though...56.1mm vs. 54.1mm for the Matrix. That means you won't be running the Civic wheels "hub-centric", but rather "lug-centric". Depending on the type of lug nut used, you may run into some slight vibrations at speed.

The big question though, is the offset on the Honda rims. I don't know what that would be. Hondas tend to have high offsets...meaning that the rims might look "tucked" on a Matrix.

And for the record...the 205/55/16 tires size would be just fine for the Matrix XR.

Wait, I'm pretty sure the 1st gen Matrix (2003-2008) all used a 5x100 bolt circle. I used the steel wheels from a 9th gen Corolla for winter wheels for my 2003 Matrix XRS.

Wasn't until the 2nd gen with the 2.4L engine variants that they jumped to the 5x114.3 bolt circle. The standard (1.8L) variants use the 5x100 bolt circle.

Correct it wasn't until 2009 on S and XRS models that the Matrix got the 5x4.5 or 5x114.3 bolt pattern.

You can not use Civic wheels on a 1st Gen matrix. The wheel options you do have are tC wheels, Subaru Impreza wheels, Neon wheels, and several other options so long as the hub is bigger than 54.1mm and the wheel is 5x100mm bolt pattern.

Yikes...sorry for the bad info. I've been out of the Matrix loop for a while now.

It is, indeed, 5x100.
