Canada 06 matrix xr engine slow to warming up

Hi all I am new at this, so please bare with me. I have a 2006 Matrix with 178000 klm on it. I replaced the thermostat last winter because the the engine was slow warming up, now that the cold weather has arrived in Ontario.CA here we go again the engine is slow warming up. It starts great runs great for a few klm and when I come to the first stop light when it is warming up it stumbles and shake with a low idle. The engine runs perfect when it is warmed up. This last time I used the car the engine light came on before the engine had warmed up and I had the code read it has something to do with the engine running to lean I had it cleared and we will see what happens again. Guys any one else had this problem? It also mentioned some thing about the MAF sensor and cleanig it may not alwasy work. I also had the ECM recall done recently. I assume they replaced the ECM, the dealer was not very informative. Thanks for all you help in advance.

Cheers Mtrixy

Did you put in a thermostat from Toyota?
The aftermarket ones are often junk.
