headlight bulb connector issues

hey guys, my friend has a 2006 matrix 1vz 4 cylinder. Someone tried replacing the left side headlight bulb and I believe they yanked on the connector so hard instead of taking out the battery that it has caused a small open in between the wire and the connector. I'm wondering the best way to fix this. I can get a new connector and looking at auto parts warehouse I see what it looks like I'm just wondering would I need to get a new connector or would I be able to somehow take the wire off the connector and redo it somehow?

Also, does her car has a radio code ?

thanks in advance

If you're saying theres just a bare spot on the wire, just use electrical tape and some shrink wrap.

It looks like the person that helped her put the wrong bulb in there. It appears to be burned on one side of the connector. I think this is related to the fact that the bulb that was put on was incorrect. I have temporarily fixed it by using a small screwdriver to push that side of the metal in so that when put back on a new correct bulb it will connect however I'd like to buy a new connector and splice it back on.

As shown in the picture above, if the connector comes with no wire attached(on the side with the blue piece on it) I don't know how I'd get the wire into the back end of that connector? If someone can take that connector off the low beam bulb and see what I would have to do, I would appreciate it.
