Good news, my car is being used to develop a Turbo kit, will fit the X and XR but not the XRS. It will also fit the 2003 Corola S and with what seems a few small differences the Celica GT. The kits will be designed and released in the order below.

Stage I, basic kit, low boost.

Stage II, as above, intercooled, moderate boost.

Stage III, as above, various ideas will be tried to get more boost, will have to see what comes out of the testing.

This was just started yesterday, no specific info will be released until the testing is completed and everything works properly.

The tuner involved knows what he is doing, I expect this to be fully sorted out and excellent functioning kit when ready to sell.

These kits are being designed to integrate fully with the stock ECU, meet emmisions ouput levels and be very reliable. Do not expect huge numbers from this, it is being done for real world daily driving duties with low maintenance requirements. I know, fun to boast about big numbers, much harder to make reliable and be able to live with.

I am very excited to have a boosted Matrix! I know many of you will too, at least the few of us for now anyway, our numbers will grow

Lucky you. I wish they would come out with something for the XRS. I don't think I could afford a turbo kit anyway, but I would love to get a CAI, underdrive pulley, amd maybe a chip.. Well I guess I will have to wait...db

Chip may take some time but with the Matrix more companies should start investing into it.

CAI was in the works with one company but I had to change to another one, they will probably come out with one based on the use of my car for prototyping, very similar design if not exact.

Underdrive pulleys I have no info on at all, I will not use them as need the alt to spin at full speed, over 4,000 watts RMS in my audio system is planned!

The Manifold should be started tomorrow, the calculations for the turbo housings and turbins should be done as well and the turbo placed on order

you do realize that this thread is about 7 years old. . .

if you really want to know, that kit from the OP worked w/out any problems, and he sold it to another matrix owner.

I wish I was that lucky person who bought it though.
