Questions on wheels and ABS...

I'm pulling the trigger and ordering a Base Vibe tomorrow with all of the features I want. As this car is for my wife and will be our second vehicle, I'm opting for the base engine for higher gas milage and regular octane fuel. I am interested in adding some other features that I'd like your opinions on. I'll list what I (she) has to have and what we're considering...

2005 Base Vibe 5-sp (Fusion Orange Monotone)
Moon & Tunes Package
Power Group Package
Restraint System
Tire Pressure Monitor
Rear Bumper Protector

Strongly considering the ABS brakes and either the 16" or 17" wheels. I'm curious to hear what you guys think of the ABS and larger wheels. I need to talk with a "gear head" to find out how much performance will be gained/lost without them. Thanks in advance.

My XRS came w/ 17's (Canadian XRS' come w/ the 17's standard. In the US, it's an option). But I also have the 16" alloys as well that I use for the winter time. There's a noticeable difference between the two. Obviously, the 16's are much easier to spin and get rolling than the 17's.
