In California, you can't buy a new car out of state, unless it meets/exceeds California emissions. Try looking at some California dealers in the mountains (San Bernadino, etc).

sure you can, all cars are 50 State legal for a few years now, you can buy it from OR, and the dealer gives you a 21 day temp registration, then you pay registration and of cource CA Sales Tax (no getting around it)

None of the Moutain dealers can get either m the car is not allocated to Southern CA....

Hey Man Talk to trdcamry2003. He works at a dealership in Cali and I'm sure he can help you find one.

This is his work number and everything:
Robert Dennis @ Moreno Valley Toyota/Scion (951)-247-8000

no luck, he says he did not want to do a dealer trade, and had no resources...dealers can trade their allocations...

He says he did a all CA search and found none...

I know there are some in No Cal not in the color I want but there are 12 or so on last look, maybe he only was able to look at So Cal...
and the main thing I am looking for is a allocation, if my dealer can trade for another dealers allocation, then he can make changes and order it, if a No Cal dealer has the allocation, than I will drive to No Cal and pick it up...
