I can figure it out as I have the service manual and full schematics, problem is I have them at the place I am moving to and not going up there until tomorrow evening. It should be fairly easy to do, I will let you know when I can.
Sorry but it seems it may be more involved than just a fuse. There is a relay, may work to just disconnect it but I would have to plug in alot of things to test it now and had way to many Stone Pale Ale's to figure out the schematics or physically come up with the answer tonight! LOL! I will see what I can do in the morning.
If it's anything like the Gen4 Camrys/Solaras, it's just a matter of disconnecting a harness. On the Camry, that harness is located in the engine bay, on the passenger side, near the firewall. It's a grey, oval shaped wire harness with a big "caution" sticker near it. Not sure if that helps.

Thanx RAAMaudio for finding how to disable to DRL's... that's what I thought when my friend told me it might jsut be a fuse... but he has no idea since he drives a totally differnet car then mine... I'll check back a couple times to cehck for updates!
This is more complicated than you would think it needs to be. There is a huge relay involved that cannot be removed, it deals with fog lights, automatic light control, brake fluid level, and the regular headlight system. The relay is located behind the instrument cluster, up under the dash to the right of the steering shaft, small black box approx 2.5x3". There is plug with red wire, pin number 7 output to the headlight switch, it is one of two solid red wires, do not cut number 5, two spaces to the left of 7. Unplug the connector to the black box so you can get better access. I tested cutting it to see the results and the DRL's were disables and all other functions seemed to work ok. The DRL's are designed to emit less light than when the full lighting system is on and since I did this in the day light not able to tell but seems the regular headlights work just fine. Make sure if you do to leave a bit on each end so you can connect them back if required ever required or as I will do, wire a switch inline with it. This is the best I can do, there is no direct fuse for DRL's and no easier connector to get to. As I reminder, I have the full service manuals and my dash is apart right now, not much more could be done as far as I can tell. I also spent 20 years in advanced electronics so know how to read schematics. Problem is they do not show drawings of the circuit inside the box so I can only surmise some parts and read the text for basic info.
I believe this should work just fine, no other way I can see to disable them.
Not really that bad, I did all the dirty work eh? Ok, not a Canadian but I did live just south of the border for decades  I see no reason for the method I suggest to not work fine, just did not have the time to ckeck every little detail as I am trained to do.
RAAM...Ok this is going to be dumb, but is it absolutely necessary to take my dash apart, I really want the DRLs gone. Also, where can I buy a inline switch to wire into the DRL line.
First of all, not a dumb question at all, I learned most of what I know by asking questions of those that knew more than I did.
Second, no, the dash will not have to come apart, it may be hard to locate but take a good light, lay on your back on the floor and look up under the dash, should be able to see it well enough and reach it to unplug the connector. Pull the connector down as far as you can so you can see what you are doing then cut the 7th wire, add some lenght to the ends by either soldering and heat shrinking more wire to them or by using a crimper and the right size crimps, red ones in this case. Just make sure to get a very solid connection.
Get a switch at a Radio Shack or electronics parts store, single pole, single through, 12 volt rated, 10 amp should be fine.
Mount the switch someplace you can reach just under the dash or where ever you prefer. Wire it up, does not matter what wire is which side of the switch, good to go!
RAAM~ well I attempted the task! and I failed miserably! I couldn't take out the wires off of the relay... so I had to find the two wires... found them... btu then had trouble pinpointing out which is the numbe 7th wire.... so I made a decision and cut one of the red wires which I found out later was the wrong ONE! now I am running around town at night without highbeams and headlights... instead I am running on Day time runing lights! how Ironic!
well tomorrow first thing I am gonna try to put the wires back together again and hopefully this time cut the right one!
You did not fail, you learned something! Part of any task we have not done is figuring it out, alot of the times it is the fun part as well. As for removing the wires, they all plug into a connector that has a release lever on one side that has to be pushed down to get the plug to pull free, try again! Let me know how it goes.
