I ordered mine from Wietzes. They could only place the order on May 1st as they only get 2 XRS a month. Sales guy found two for early June, but I was picky on the colour. Maybe if I went to Don Vally North it would have been quicker. They move a higher volume of cars.

That's funny. I've heard the total opposite when it comes to DVP Lexus/Toyota. Back in March, they were already looking at a 6 month backlog.

Here in the NewYork area, my dealer told me for XRS 6 speeds with moonroofs, they manufactur 28 Matrices a month. Spread across 118 or so Toyota Dealers. With that factored in, there is definitely a HUGE demand and wait list. Im going to put in a deposit for mine on sunday. just been trying to decide the color. hmm.. maybe in a few years if i get bored, i can paint it electron blue. be lucky if i can get the car by november.

I'm just guessing Don Valley would have a higher allotment since they have high volume sales. I think in April it was possible to find dealers with an XRS unsold. That is they ordered it with the rest for the lot, and it was still in transit. I'm not sure how dealers trade cars, or if their computers show actual sold cars. It would be difficult to get a salesperson to call everywhere and keep checking the computer when he has you deposit.

Those pics are even better than the Toyota brochure. The wait till August(hopefully!) is killing me. I have not even seen an Indigo Blue XRS in the flesh yet. I'm starting to regret passing up a silver and black one for my choice of colour. Now, do I want the TRD springs or will the 2" Sportlines be too low. Anyone know of pics of the Matrix with 18" wheels other than the TRD rims?
Where could i get the 2" Sportlines from?

Black is nice, but too easily dirty i think.
Very true. Though, in reality, black doesn't get dirtier than silver, it's just shows the dirt more easily. It forces me to clean my car more often (every other day!), which is never a bad thing
