Stick or Auto, which is better for a XR engine

Is it better to choose the stick instead of auto with a small 130hp engine?

My friend told me if engine is not powerful than u need stick, why?

Thumbs up

No brainer, Stick, more powa, and better fuel efficiency.
Cheaper in price due to manual xmission.

Yeah stick is way more fun to drive.....

If you have the choice, definately go stick... A little cheaper, and tons more fun!

its all pretty much a preference, but they do have their slight differences, but not enough to really matter

With a stick, there is no power loss from the engine to the wheels, but with an auto, there is some loss due to the torque converter. And plus stick is just so much more fun. When I drive an auto now, I feel bored. Its just so much fun, and toyota sticks are very forgiving, and easy to engage. I first learned stick on my friends 1995 del sol with 150,000 miles on it, and talk about a car that has a problem getting into gear, (its very rough and touch and go). The camry is just so smooth, even an old one. Never mind that when I learned, I was sitting on the road and if you wern't moving you could barely move the steering wheel. Well after all of that, if you can get a manual, go for it, its the best choice I made when I bought my car, besides buying a toyota. Im now hooked for life, only toyota's in my family. Also when you first learn stick, you will be fustrated for the first couple of times, and after that it gets better and better. And by the way Welcome to the Toyota Nation Family.

There's about 10% drive train loss w/ a stick where the auto is around 15%.
Which will make for slightly less power and gas mileage w/ the auto vr's the stick.
C-YA!!
