Is it cheap to get a new 05 xrs about $27000 CAD

I will make my decision tomorrow with a booker to get a 05 new XR $2500 CAD with option or a XRS just $2000 more about $27000, is it a great price to make a duel?

I went to dealer and the sales told it really doesn't has any different with both model if drive in the city everyday, and he told me the xrs actually accept the 87 gas without big different of performance.

He explain to me living in Canada u better don't expect the car will keep good condition after 5 to 7 years because the winter and he said to me Toyota just suggest using 91 gas is better, doesn't mean that 87 gas can't be use.

But isn't using 87 will damage the engine?

If those quotes are before taxes, you're being ripped off. Just check out the prices from toyota.ca -> http://www.toyota.ca/cgi-bin/WebObje...108060e%2ehtml

The XR manual w/ B package is $23,285.
The XR auto w/ B package is $24,330.
And the XRS w/ B package is $25,560.

Your broker isn't working very hard for you.

And that salesman doesn't know what he's talking about either. The XRS' engine has an 11.5 compression ratio and requires no less than 91octane. Anything less and you're asking for trouble.

The 87 is fine if you go for the XR.

If those are "out-the-door" prices, then go for it!
