The CD selection button on my stock radio also has "AUX" printed on it under the "CD" print. I have searched all over the dash looking for an auxillary in, but no luck. I would love to aux in from my laptop for MP3's.

Anyone know what this "AUX" means?

It seems to be a mystery. You won't find an AUX input in the rear of the deck either.

If you haven't noticed, the Matrix radio is not a Toyota standard radio. It's a Pontiac radio (delco?). I dunno what radio you got, but AUX is supposed to be for a CD changer in the trunk...well, at least that is the way it is for my BMW.

That's what I thought ... but if there aren't any audio-in lines, than it just appears to be a button that says AUX

What year is your radio? PIE makes a line-in adapter for the h/u, but it's only for the 05/06.

I assume that Aux button is for the addition of a factory cd-changer. Does the h/u have changer controls?

Is there an open 12 pin port in the back? My corolla h/u has no provisions for a line-in either, but PIE makes a unit that plugs into a USED port, and then the original cable plugs into this. Allows for me to push the CD button twice (we have no aux button) -- once to use the in dash changer, and again to use the line in. I assuming it's so you can add an additional changer in the trunk maybe, as CD information appears on the screen (it just doesnt work right b/c it's not receiving a sound from the an external change). Although it would seem kinda silly to have 2 changers in a car -- it works nonetheless, and I can retain my factory 6-disc funtionality.
