Polishing

No, I think he means having a treatment done to rustproof the body, and also to treat the paint job with some goop that is supposed to help it retain its luster, prevent damage from UV rays, antioxidants, etc.

I had it done to my Trix, which I just picked up last night. I don't honestly know if it was money well-spent or not. My motivation was:
  1. I live in Iowa, and there's a lot of salt on the roads in winter, so rustproofing can't hurt.
  2. The paint treatment is supposed to mean I never have to wax the car. This is good. I just apply some polish to revitalize it twice a year, and I get new bottles of the polish for as long as I own the car. I'm all for not having to wax.
  3. I'm hopeful that with the rep of a Toyota I can still be driving the car in 10 years/200,000 miles, and if I'm going to get there I can use all the protection I can get.
