front mounted intake

I was just checkin' out one of these horsepower tv shows and they tuning a honda civic. They installed a front mounted intake which looks cool and has more exposure to the air. The front filter is protected w/ plastic shield (clear) for daily driving and for the track just take off the plastic shield. Id'e like to have something like that for my car. Any opinions?

well i'm still on my quest to creat my own front mount intake system. I found a couple of sites for mandrel bent piping down in so. cal.. I just have to get the measurements and the actual filter for it. The only think i'm concerned w/ is the exposure it well get being so close to the front bumper. I wonder if it more prone to catching the outside element, debris and stuff. It comes w/ a plexiglass shield for daily driving to prevent that and for track racing u can just take it off. Anybody think this is a good idea or just go w/ a CAI conversion from a short ram intake?
AROSPEED COLD FRONT MOUNT INTAKE
An intercooler look for non-turbo cars is the ultimate way to bring cold air into your engine.
